Saamiya is a senior at Commack High School and is a Contributing Editor of The Courant for the 2025-2026 school year. She believes that the best aspect of journalism is the ability to communicate with others about important issues. Saamiya’s favorite subjects are English and history. In her free time, she loves to listen to music, read, and watch TV shows and movies.
