As assignments and exams pile up, students are turning to local cafes as comfortable and productive places to study.
Starbucks, located in Jericho Turnpike, is a popular place students choose as it’s a familiar chain that many feel comfortable studying in.
“I like studying in Starbucks because I love their chai latte with cold foam,” said sophomore Abigail C.
Despite some occasional noise, Starbucks is mostly quiet, making it easy to focus.
“It’s sometimes loud, but mostly quiet, so I always get my work done there,” said Abigail.
Another cafè where students enjoy studying is Paris Baguette, located at Veterans Memorial Highway, which provides a calm atmosphere.
“Paris Baguette always has peaceful music, which makes it really cozy in there,” said freshman Amber C.
The combination of music, numerous pastries, and fun drinks makes it perfect for longer study sessions.
“I usually order a matcha latte, and I prefer Paris Baguette over other cafès to study in because it’s close to my house, making it more convenient,” said Amber.
Mimi’s Coffee, Bubble Tea, and Bakery, located in the Mayfair Shopping Center, is another cafè loved by students because it has few distractions and is quiet.
“The workers are really nice and there usually aren’t a lot of people there, which helps me be super productive while I study there” said freshman Angel Z.
The quiet ambiance and tasty treats offered makes studying more motivating and enjoyable.
“I normally get a drink and pastry which are delicious and make me look forward to studying,” said freshman Angel Z.
Local cafès continue to be popular study spots for Commack students throughout the school year. From a familiar chain to a quieter cafe, these all are comfortable spaces for students to focus and get their work completed.
