Throughout middle school and high school, students may have found the studying method that fits their preference.
There are many different types of study methods, like listening to information, watching a video, reading, and more. In high school and beyond, it’s important to know which method best fits.
Previously, schools didn’t provide Chromebooks to students, so less resources were available to study. Today, with Artificial Intelligence and access to the internet, there are many resources to use and new learning methods emerging.
“We didn’t have the laptop option, they didn’t allow it in school. So everything had to be handwritten,” said guidance counselor Ann Black.
With today’s technology, there are different websites and apps we could use to learn to motivate students, instead of procrastinating. These apps and technology tools are time savers and are engaging to many students.
“I make games so that I can learn in a fun way, and I actually remember what I’m doing,” said freshman Rianna R.
For those who still can’t find a learning method that fits their preferences, many other students are in the same situation. It may be beneficial to try using different resources or asking students.
“I would say, try out a bunch of different things. Ask for recommendations […]. Not everything is going to work for you so don’t get discouraged if you can’t figure it out right away,” said freshman Sofia L.
Overall, every student will have their own learning styles and will find what works best for them as they go. Today with many resources, technology, and just by trying different methods, anyone can find a study method that will work for the rest of their life.
