Staying warm while keeping up with trends throughout the cold months can be important to students and staff.
Fashion is an ongoing topic that is often circulating. Different individuals have different hot takes when it comes to style. Art teacher Marie Adamo prefers to layer her clothing with a sweatshirt and a heavy jacket. Adamo also likes to wear a large scarf that fits over her shoulders so she doesn’t have to wear a winter jacket.
“I like when the younger generation wears athletic clothes layered with leisure wear. It’s a cute look, I like that. I also like when a fur jacket is layered with sweatshirts,” said Adamo.
There are many different fashion trends that students like. A freshman, Aysa P. likes to layer her clothes, but prefers to wear fleece lined tights underneath jeans and under a skirt because it’s too cold to wear a skirt in the winter.
“I wear leggings that are fleece lined underneath my pants in the winter. I’ve also found skin colored fleece lined leggings to wear underneath skirts,” said Aysa.
Freshman Crista S. prefers to dress using “the sandwich factor” when picking out outfits. The sandwich factor is when a shirt and shoes are a similar color so your pants are sandwiched in between them. Dressing in comfy clothes rather than fashionable is how she stays warm in colder months.
“I also like to wear thick compression shirts because they keep me warm and I don’t have to wear a jacket,” said Crista.
Fashion is an ongoing topic that will always be changing. Specifically for the winter seasons, many students and staff members like to layer their clothes to stay warm but still look trendy. Everyone has their own opinion on what looks stylish and how they choose outfits even when it is cold outside.◼️
