As we come back from everyone’s well-deserved Thanksgiving holiday break, let’s recap on the success of our past months! First off, thank you to everyone who donated and volunteered for our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. With your help, we were able to provide delicious meals to over 60 families within our community. This is an amazing tradition, and we’re so excited to be a part of such a meaningful event.
Spirit Week, Float Night, Homecoming, and Pep Rally, were all great successes. Let’s remember to continue our Commack spirit and pride throughout the winter and spring! Additionally, thank you to everyone who involved themselves in our annual Halloween Happenings festivities. Between the haunted house, pumpkin patch, games, crafts, and candy, we were able to provide young children in our community with memories that they can cherish forever.
In the winter and spring, we look forward to Student-Teacher Takeover, Hallway Night, Battle of the Classes, and more! We are also looking into new events and opportunities, so stay on the lookout.
In addition to extracurriculars, we would like to remind everyone to check in on their grades. As we begin a new marking period, let’s start on the right track.
We wanted to congratulate everyone involved in Masque & Wig’s production of “Noises Off”. Between the actors, crew, and production team, everyone held an enormous role in the success of the show. Additionally, congratulations to all of our fall athletes on their incredible season. We love the pride and passion that our sports hold in the community, so thank you for that.
As we venture into December, we wanted to remind you of some great ways to stay involved. Masque & Wig has already begun their rehearsals for this year’s musical: “Pippin”. We look forward to watching all of the hard work pay off at the performances in February. Additionally, our second athletic season, consisting of bowling, fencing, kickline, cheer, basketball, wrestling, and swimming has started! Good luck to all of our teams! Throughout the school year, clubs are usually still open to new members, so make sure to explore new interests and take advantage of the limitless opportunities that we offer.
