Fast Review on Fast Food: Chick-fil-A

Sophie D., Chief Reporter

Chick-fil-A is the newest fast food chain to come to Long Island. Only a few years ago Chick-fil-A came to Commack, located on Commack Road, and became known for their long lines that wrapped around the restaurant, six days a week.

This fast food chain started as a single family-owned restaurant in Hapeville, GA that quickly grew and began to spread its establishments through the southern states of the U.S., eventually reaching the North. They’re known for their fast and good service as well as their popular chicken sandwiches.

As for my review of the restaurant, I would say my experience based on the food deserves a “good.” I have tried the chicken sandwich, waffle fries, mac and cheese and chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets were my favorite at an 8 out of 10 and actually tasted like real chicken unlike other fast food restaurants. They were fresh and crispy. The waffle fries and chicken sandwich were also enjoyable, but the mac and cheese was a big “no” for my palate. I also recommend trying their famous Chick-fil-A sauce.

On the other hand, I felt the service was excellent. While the drive-thru line was quite long it moved by quickly and the workers were very polite and efficient when it came to making sure my order was correct and moving customers along.

Chick-fil-A offers other menu items such as spicy chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, frozen drinks, and sweet iced tea. They have a large menu with many other meal options and sauces. I would recommend it to everyone.

The prices of the food are fair. A little more than the usual chicken sandwich from other fast food chains, but at $3.05 you pay for what you get.🔳

Chick-fil-A is open from 6:30 A.M. to 10:00 P.M., Monday through Saturday (closed on Sunday). There are a few locations on Long Island including Commack Road, on the Smithtown Bypass, and their newest location on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station.
