“Meet Izakaya” is a Japanese restaurant with locations all over Long Island, but more recently opened up in the Mayfair Shopping Center, located at 10 Jericho Turnpike in Commack. It is a great place to go with friends or family. They serve a variety of Japanese food.

Service:

The servers at Meet Izakaya are super friendly and helpful when deciding what to eat. The food came fairly quickly and it has a great presentation. They were balanced with each table they helped. The inside is very nice and comfortable. Music plays quietly in the background. There is no chaos from the workers and kitchen. I would rate the service a 10/10.

Taste:

I ordered the edamame as an appetizer and ramen for my meal. The edamame was very delicious and I had a choice of the extra toppings or just the salt. It is a perfect starter before a big meal. 

I had a choice of what I could put in my ramen, the base of my ramen, and the protein. There are many different options to choose from such as pork stock, soy stock, and fish stock. They also had a variety of proteins such as short rib, chicken, vegetables, and seafood. So, I ordered a pork stock with the short rib as my protein. Overall the food was very delicious and something I would get again. The ramen is a large portion, so make sure to go on an empty stomach.

Times:

I went for lunch on a Saturday at around 3:00PM and it was not very busy. It was quiet and an enjoyable time to go. 🔳
